Crysler Community Centre
Hi my name is Pierre Thibault, President of the Crysler Community Center. On behalf of the Community Center Committee, I am writing to you today to update you on our facility and day to day operation.
A grant was received from Trillium and donations were received from non profit associations, individual, businesses, the township of North Stormont and the community center. These funds are to improved our facilities. Major renovations took part to update the kitchen, the library and foundation repairs were done on the exterior of the centre.
Our next phases will be installations of gas stoves in the kitchen, installation of a generator and an upgrade to the washrooms. Handicap accessibility will be up to code once the renovations are completed. We also received a grant for an outdoor gym and installation is schedule for spring 2018.
Even though the Township of North Stormont provides funding to the centre for daily operations, fundraising activities are organised to help with the upkeep of our facility and the programs that are offered. We encourage you and your family to participate at our various events during the year to help maintain such a high standard of our facility. Our volunteer spends many hours preparing events for our community and relies on your presence to make it a success.
We are always looking for new ideas and new volunteers; to join our great team please contact us by email at email@example.com.

Community Dinners are every third Friday from September to June. Theses dinners are hosted by the various organizations in our community, as one of their fundraisers; it’s a great opportunity for you and your family to meet neighbours and members of your community.
Our dome has been built beside the Community Center. It’s a point of pride and excitement for our community. In the winter it provides a place for public skating, shinny hockey, and broomball. In the summer: Pickleball, ball hockey, broomball and community events can be held under the dome. There is also volleyball and other outdoor sporting events in the John Crysler Park. TBO place is home for the Optimist summer camp that runs for 8 to 9 weeks during the summer months
